I am a Dutch mother of four, living in Medina, Saudi Arabia since 2006, and the owner of Maryam's Tree, a service for childbirth education and support. I am dedicated to supporting mothers on their miraculous journey of bringing life into this world, because, during my own journey, I have come to realize what a profound and life-altering experience it is to give birth, and what a difference it makes for mothers to be well-informed, empowered and to feel supported. I have a Master's degree in psychology, a field that helps me to coach mothers-to-be. Besides being a childbirth educator, I work as coordinator and lecturer at a medical college.
