My name is Salama Karim-Camara and I am AMANI Birth Doula. I reside in Harford County, MD with my husband and three kids. I love all things birth related. Attending births has been something I enjoyed since I was eighteen. To me birth is a “Celebration of Life;” it is my mantra and vibe that I bring to every birth. I have been blessed to attend 6 births and 11 labors. I am proud to have obtained my certification as an AMANI Childbirth Educator and Doula. It is my goal to assist women and their families on their journey of pregnancy, labor, and birth with education, reassurance, a listening ear, and above all comforting support. It is my belief that through knowledge we are empowered to act with faith and confidence. I have served as a Doula for VBACs and twin births. Doula work is special to me because it is a service to humanity! Birth is something that will always be remembered, and I wish that all mothers and their families have beautiful and joyful birth memories!
