Hello, Hola, and Salam Alaikum,
My name is Melissa, I am an AMANI Certified Doula and Childbirth Educator-in-Training with AMANI Birth. Long before my certification, the passion to help others during the journey into motherhood, one of life’s blessings, has always lived in me. I provide physical and emotional support to you and your partner during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period for a gentle birthing experience. I am here to provide resources, support, wisdom, and most importantly, care for families. Ease your concerns, feel prepared, and go over birthing options available to you.
I am a mother of 4 children and unfortunately have also gone through loss of pregnancies to miscarriage along the way. I have experienced medicated and unmedicated births. Throughout the many stages of my life, I now see there are many things I wish I would have known sooner or done differently. My own experiences are what makes me more passionate about mothers-to-be, childbirth, and the doula work I do.
I am fluent in Spanish and speak a little bit of Arabic. I would love to get to know you and see if we are a match. I would feel honored to be able to share my expertise with you and your family.

Mucho antes de mi certificación, la pasión por ayudar a otros durante el camino hacia la maternidad, una de las bendiciones de la vida, siempre ha vivido en mí. Les brindo apoyo físico y emocional a usted y a su pareja durante el embarazo, el parto y el período posparto para una experiencia de parto suave. Estoy aquí para brindar recursos, apoyo, sabiduría y, lo más importante, cuidar a las familias. Alivia tus inquietudes, siéntete preparada y analiza las opciones de parto disponibles para ti.
Soy madre de 4 hijos y desafortunadamente también he pasado por pérdidas de embarazos y abortos espontáneos en el camino. He pasado partos medicados y no medicados. A lo largo de las muchas etapas de mi vida, ahora veo que hay muchas cosas que desearía haber sabido antes o haber hecho de manera diferente. Mis propias experiencias son las que me apasionan más por las futuras madres, el parto y el trabajo de doula que hago. Hablo español con fluidez y hablo un poco de árabe. Me encantaría conocerte y ver si somos compatibles. Me sentiría honrada de poder compartir mi experiencia con usted y su familia.
