Those last days of pregnancy can feel really long.
You're tired, you're heavy, you're ready, and at the same time, nothing is really happening yet.

Every little feeling makes you pause and wonder, "Is this it?"
And then the messages start… "Any signs?" "Baby here yet?"

With all the questions coming your way, you start to feel that quiet anxiety.
"What if labor doesn't start on its own?"

It is such a restless space to be in.
You've prepared, you've learned, you feel ready for labor, and now you're just waiting.

And honestly, the waiting can be one of the hardest parts.
Because naturally, you just want things to move. You want to meet your baby. You want to feel like something is progressing.

But this part isn't about doing more.
It's about slowing down a little, and trusting that things are already unfolding the way they're meant to.
Your body is NOT "failing" you.
Your baby is NOT "late."
And this timing is NOT random.

Allah, the Exalted, says:
{وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيَخْتَارُ}
{And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses} [28:68]

There's a wisdom in timing that we don't always see in the moment.
From a physiological side too, babies often choose their own timing for a reason; those final days can support important development, and your body is still preparing quietly, even if it doesn't feel like it.

For you, this is where a different kind of preparation comes in.
Not more techniques, or more information,
but Tawakkul.
Trusting Allah with something you cannot control.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
(وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ مَا أَخْطَأَكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُصِيبَكَ، وَمَا أَصَابَكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُخْطِئَكَ)
"Know that what has passed you by was not meant for you, and what has befallen you was not going to miss you."

Even this waiting carries meaning you may not yet see.

So instead of feeling stuck in it, just take it as it is.
Rest when you can.
Try to block out the noise a little.
Remind yourself that your body isn't behind, it's just doing its thing.

Labor doesn't always begin in a big, obvious way.
It can unfold softly, without clear signs at the start.
What feels like nothing is often your body slowly preparing in the background.

{إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ}
{Indeed, We have created everything according to measure.} [54:49].
