The early days after birth are tender, beautiful, and often overwhelming. Between sleepless nights, healing aches, and endless feeding sessions, a new mother may find herself running on love and exhaustion at the same time.
There's so much joy in holding her baby close, and yet, there are also tears she never expected.

It's in these moments that we're reminded of a beautiful hadith:

"How amazing is the affair of the believer! Every matter of his is good - and this is for no one except the believer. If something pleasing happens to him, he is grateful, and that is good for him. If something harmful befalls him, he is patient, and that is good for him."
Sahih Muslim (2999)

Postpartum life is exactly that balance - a season of both Shukr and Sabr.
Gratitude for the blessing of a new life, the scent of a baby's hair, the miracle of nourishment through milk.
And Patience through the pain, the tiredness, and the moments when emotions feel heavier than the body itself.

Dear mama, your sleepless nights are seen. Your quiet tears are heard. The soreness, the effort, the perseverance - every bit of it is written as reward when faced with Ihtisaab/seeking Allah's pleasure through it all.

Remember, you can always call upon Him - even with the smallest whispers of your heart. You don’t need to be on a prayer mat to speak to Allah. You can make du'aa while rocking your baby, while nursing, while sitting in stillness between feeds.

Allah is watching with mercy. He is listening with love. So do not despair. This stage will pass, but the reward for your patience and gratitude will remain forever, Insha'Allaah

{And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you."}
Surah Ghaafir (40:60)
